D.B. Cooper is the alias of the man who hijacked Northwest Airlines Flight 304 from Portland to Seattle on November 21, 1971. He told flight attendants he was armed with a bomb and demanded a ransom and four parachutes. After releasing passengers in Seattle, he instructed the flight crew to head to Mexico City. Thirty minutes after taking off from Seattle, Cooper parachuted into the night never to be seen again.
